Mia Schwartz Selected for Fulbright!
Undergraduate researcher Mia Schwartz was recently selected for a Fulbright scholarship to attend the University of Iceland in pursuit of a Masters in Geology with a specialization in Renewable Energy - Geochemistry. She aims to optimize the energy extracted from geothermal systems using geochemical methods. Mia has conducted various forms of research at the IRM since 2021, including archaeomagnetism research centered in Minnesota and rock magnetic research aiming to distinguish volcanic eruptions in Iceland. Mia will begin her graduate studies at the University of Iceland in the fall of 2024.
